The Beverly Wilder Memorial Scholarship & MENTORSHIP Program
The Beverly Wilder Scholarship & Mentorship program, modeled after the late Beverly Wilder, combines scholarships with mentorships to assist students in successfully navigating life and school, ultimately helping them find their true calling.
This Scholarship Program is designed not only to provide financial support to the recipients but also to help them succeed in their educational pursuits. The program offers various resources to the recipients, such as:
Mentorship: Each recipient will be assigned a mentor to partner with them throughout their college journey. Mentors and recipients will have regular check-ins to provide support and guidance.
Lunch and Learns: Recipients will attend Lunch and Learns featuring guest speakers on various topics, including financial planning, professional appearance and behavior, overcoming adversity, and more.
Assessments: Recipients will participate in different assessments to understand their skills, personalities, and how they fit into career choices, teamwork, and other aspects of life. Each assessment will include time with professionals to review the information. Assessments may include:
AIMS (Aptitude Inventory Management Services): A program that offers a series of assessments followed by feedback and details from professionals.
Myers-Briggs: A personality test based on questions about a person's preferences in four domains: focusing outward or inward, attending to sensory information or adding interpretation, deciding by logic or by situation, and making judgments or remaining open to information.
Enneagram: A personality typing tool that distills behaviors, thinking patterns, and feelings into a numerical "type."
